[F]but when I started thinking about flying in the KB I just didn't feel like there was enough air flow or stability with that bag. The Charlie takes care of that issue and is very well made![/FONT]

I think the bag is a nice for toting your dog around for short trips or when their heads can be out. But unless I missed something, the photos don't show enough mesh openings for airline travel, it also might be to tall to fit upright under the front seat. I don't know if you have taken your dog on a flight yet, but the majority of flight attendants will make you comply with the airline rules and keep your dog zipped up in a carrier under the seat in front of you. It gets very hot for them below the seat and even more so in a closed in carrier. Most dogs tend to be more worked up and prone to panting when flying, closed up in vinyl carrier with only one opening will just not give a dog enough air, or places to see out of and that will cause further distress. I just got off a flight yesterday, it's about the 4th round trip for Lola and one of my past yorkies flew with me round trip at least 100 times so I have a lot of experience in that area. If it was me for airline travel I would be looking for a structured carrier made of lightweight breathable fabric that had vents and mesh openings on at least three sides. To me it is impossible to have a single bag work as both a safe and comfortable for airline travel carrier as well as a stylish pet shopping tote.
