Dexter went for a dental yesterday. Of course I was a mess waiting for the vet to call me to say he was done and awake. She called around 1215 and told me he was awake and done and doing well. Then she told me that to her shock and amazement..... he had NO extractions! He had no gum disease... just a few small pockets, she put him on antibiotics for a week. He is almost 7 years old. This is his first dental. She told me whatever I'm doing keep doing it, this is almost unheard of.
Well I am doing nothing. I don't brush, I don't use anything special in their mouths at all. I just feed them dry dog food and very minimal people food!
I feel so proud of my little man and his super pearly whites now... all 42 of of them still!
