Sometimes, dogs don't gain weight due to problems like liver shunt, have you had a vet check lately, maybe a biles acid test would be a good idea, the sooner you find out about liver shunt, the better, and many dogs can control it with diet. You should be able to feel the rib bones, you just shouldn't be able to see them, you vet can give you an idea if your dogs really needs to gain weight. If your dog is healthy and does need to gain weight, giving more treats can add weight, many dogs love sweet potatoe treats or skinless chicken breast. Joey gained a pound in a month after a tricks training class!
