Yes, there is a chance that Comfortis could cause an upset stomach. My vet said that they have found that if a dog throws up the first time it is given, the chances are that it will not happen the second month. Was also told to not give the heartworm and the flea preventative at the same time. Put a few days in between. Also give both with food. Will try it. Hate the topical stuff. ~Joanne~
