Do others with dogs on H2-blockers use that much? Back in the early 90's, my Jilly was on Cimetidine for a while but it came from the vet in a dropper bottle & her dosage was some amount in the dropper.

May be why it didnt agree with him. He weighs 6lbs.
Im sure your vet or the ER vet can tell you for sure how much to give.
I would definitely ask them first.
I am eager to hear if an H2 blocker does help.
