My Scotty & Jilly & the puppy Jilly wouldn't let me keep, Teddy, all had this issue from time to time, despite keeping them close-trimmed. Tibbe? Even with his stand out, cottony-type coat which sometimes I fail to trim back there, has never - ever - left anything - nothing - on is bum! I have had him 4 years & never had to clean his bottom. I just find that incredible. But he does such an amazing curl-up kind of position & waits like that for a long time afterward when he "goes", I don't guess there is just no way anything can get on his behind! He is the only dog I've ever had never leave anything on his tush.
