I can't remember off the top of my head the costs for a couple of things but I can say the following:
Dental cleaning/tooth extraction- $466 (just had this done a couple of weeks ago)
Wellness exam office visit-$60 w/ vaccinations (which vaccines should be spaced out in the best of interest of the furbaby)
For the first 2 years Georgie was at the Vet regularly either he wasn't eating, had diarrhea, you name it. We didn't take any chances so we took him in which cost $80+each time depending on meds & diagnosis. I would say approx. every 3months or so. It turns out he just had a sensitive tummy.
Last year we spent 8k alone for Vet visits, neuro specialists and AAI surgery.
I want to stress the importance of all the above when considering a Yorkie. I can't say my husband and I thought about all of it, but we would do it all over again if we had to for our sweet boy. We have spent less than half on our Boxer who is 6 years older than Georgie. BTW we will be getting another Yorkie because the love we have for him and vice versa totally outweighs the cost
