 Fatigued Female in Heat
Hello,
My 1 1/2 yr old Mini Yorkie is in heat. This morning she escaped for an hour and then returned home. There has been a lurking chihuahua near our home, so I suspect they mated. I have had an appointment to spay for two weeks from today, which I will keep.
My question is, today this afternoon she has seemed lethargic, just lying down on the hard wood floor, meandering to urinate, rather than being her peppy self.
Do hormonal changes assoc w pregnancy start this early / Is this typical behavior for a dog who most likely mated just a few hours earlier?
