It was sad to read this and Mothers can be a problem and Weddings in itself are
always but always stressful for a family. I think if you just sit down with her and
let her know how great she was all those years while your Dad was a jerk, she
will come around, she is just feeling like you don't remember all she had done
during those days ( of course that is no way to act ) but see if that might work.
