I'm so very happy you were able to get her seen promptly. Is she still running a fever?

I'm with you on prompt vet attention. Fevers in dogs of any size IMHO are a red emergency. With female dogs that is sometimes the only sign you get for something called stump pyometra - although rare it does happen to spayed females.
