I just read this thread also and want to add my condolences to everyone else's. I had to make the tough decision to send my little Chelsea, a Sheltie, across the bridge in early April after almost 15 years together. I was a wreck...cried non stop the first 2 days. My husband and I talked about getting another dog but not until the fall. In preparation I began doing some research into different breeds as we wanted a small dog. I found my Jack-Jack almost one month to the day after losing Chelsea. I took a step back and really thought about it for 2 weeks but couldn't get his little face out of my mind so I took the leap. I am SO thankful I did. He is a little ray of sunshine and already has his place in our family. You will know when the time is right for you. There is no replacement for your sweet Cosmo but there is another piece of your heart that needs to find it's perfect furry match. Good luck to you....
