My dog doesn't scratch my legs "often," but he is a digging, scratching little fool. Yorkies were bred to use their little feet for digging and scratching. So, it's hard to stop something from doing something that is so natural for them to do.

When I'm on the sofa and my pup starts anything like that - I have a small comforter that I cover myself with. And ---- I ignore him! Plus I have a couple of those "chew stick things" and through him one. About half the time, he'll start chewing on one of these for a while.

I think my pup is still young enough (5-6 months) that he is doing a lot of things he will stop doing when he gets older --especially if I ignore him!
