I agree with everyone else here. We were VERY fortunate to have purchased a very healthy pup from a not-so-reliable breeder/broker for only $800. As I found out later, after having joined YT, this particular couple were simply "middlemen" for other breeders, and usually did not have the mom and dad on-site to verify the quality of the pups. We spent much more than the purchase price, over the next year, to ensure our Graysee was spayed and had all the appropriate vaccinations, medication, and proper care required for a healthy, happy doggie. We STILL spend hundreds per year keeping her groomed, maintained, with healthy teeth and safe toys and food. Raising a pet is the same as raising a child, and you get back much more for your investment; not only don't you get the backtalk and disrespect as they age, but instead receive a huge amount of unconditional love!
