Some dogs are very sensitive to the sensation of the car, and it could just be that she associates getting in the car with going to bad places such as the vet. I would highly suggest a car seat. And when you strap her in it, give her a bit of chicken and tell her how great she's doing. Most dogs grow out of it and I've had many customers say the carseat helped soo much. Also, take her on short trips like to the post office or the bank and give her a treat when you get there and a treat when you get home.
