It depends on the pup and it's propensity to form tartar and gum disease. For Sugar, if I miss 3 days brushing she has swollen bloody gums and is forming brown tartar on her teeth. This was irregardless of kibble or home cooked meals. I think a lot of it lies in the genes~ plus Sugar has an itty bitty teeny tiny mouth that holds onto her food for
DAYS if not properly cleaned out
