I have a new Biewer Yorkie female who is just now 4 months. We got her when she was 10 weeks old. My vet said she was in good health but her poo-sample showed Positive for Giardia. He treated her with Panacur twice in the first month, and we took another sample. She is being treated again because the test show that the Giardi is not active but she is now considered a Carrier. The vet is treating her this second time with a longer time span for the Panacur. My other yorkie was treated too... Is this considered a safe practice? She is fine on the Panacur no problems ...just wondering if they can get rid of this being as she is a carrier.
Thankyou...
