 Tough love?
So Penny has been home with us for eight days now. I was not putting her in her kennel (it is 3 feet by 4 feet) when I was home, but she started having more and more accidents, and I just could not watch her every second...
So today, I took her for a walk, played with her a bit, and then put her in the kennel. She barked and howled for most of the time. I was up stairs cleaning, and doing general house work.
So my new stratigie is to put her in her kennel unless someone can watch her. This afternoon, my son and I took her for a walk, and played with her out back, and then I needed to make dinner, so I put her in the kennel- she cried less.
Will it get better? Will she start to like being in the kennel? |
