Changed them over to Artemis Small Breed formula and the problems cleared up. Chicken, Turkey, Chicken Meal, and Lamb Meal are the first 4 ingredients.

I still feed Nature's Variety frozen medallions and canned, because both are just meat and veggies, no grains.

Food for thought.......

interesting... thanks for the info!

I choose this food because kodie was on hill's l/d and he was was lacking what normal food has in it... my vet thought if i switched him to a regular food inside of a perscription that he would have a better coat, skin, and maybe gain weight. So far... kodie hasnt really gained weight... hes skinny. His skin has improved alittle... and his coat is slowly getting better as well. I have my pup also on derm caps for his dry skin. I also asked a vet i'm friends with how long will it take to notice a difference from these new things I have kodie on.. and she told me it could take anywhere from 2 - 8 months... it depends on the dog. It has been almost 1 month since I switched over kodie's food and started the derm caps. I guess its a good things I notice alittle bit of improvement so far... I also have a medicated bath I am doing for kodie every 3-4 days as needed for itching... it helps him... but not as well as I thought.. I am going to try selesn blue shampoo tonight for kodie's dry skin... a vet recommended it to me. I am hoping it works out great... i'll let you know.

but anyway.. if i dont see anymore improvement within the next 2 months... i'm gonna try another dog food that another vet recommended to me... I think its potato and duck... or something like that... its for dogs with skin problems.
