I'm not sure if mine has a special name or not but it says 'LX-3125' on the front. My mom bought it on black Friday a few years ago for $99 I believe. It is basic, but has been a great starter machine for me. It will sew on buttons, but I'm afraid to try those yet. Lol. It has 13 basic stitches. The only complaint I have with it and this is minor, is I have to hold a lever on the front of the machine when I want to back stitch. I think that's more of a personal thing. It came with a few tools and a very informative DVD. I think even after I get a fancier machine I'll still keep this one. I have only ever sewn on one other brand of machine, a singer at a sewing class, and I did not like it. I'm sure it was because I wasn't used to it, but I just love my brother. I would like to try out the different brands though.
