Your boy sounds ultra hyper so these might help calm him down to just regular hyper!! Also, do you walk him a lot? I mean a lot. If I don't walk Beanie A LOT, she is nuts and misbehaves.
As far as the jumping goes, Beanie jumps too. The way to stop it is get a squirt bottle and fill it with water and EVERY time he jumps squirt him in the face. Plain water didn't work with Beanie, she thought it was fun to get squirted so the breeder told me to put some white vinegar in it. I KNOW that sounds harsh, but believe me it works like a charm. All I have to do is aim the bottle at her and she immediately stops whatever bad thing she is doing. Also, when he tries to jump on you or anyone in your house, life up your leg and bend it back, so there is nothing for him to jump on. You have to be consistent with that and make sure everyone does it.
It isn't good for Yorkies to jump all the time, it hurts their knees so it is better to curb it.
Oh boy, listen to me, the one who was here every day for a month freaking out that I could't do this and I was going to give her back, giving advice. ahahahahahahaha See all, it really, really DOES GET BETTER!!! | LMAO!! Too funny! Yes i know it isnt good for their knees, thats why im trying to stop him from jumping....white vinegar huh? plain or diluted? i've got to try that...little bugger is jumping as we speak! Oh yea and he dug up a plant that i just planted in the backyard...just found that little gem! im sure i'll find something else that hes dug up, oh and i get to bathe him yet again...third time today! Covered in dirt! *Sigh* |
