I am just concerned, IMHO, Yorkies need to be treated differently than most other dogs, esp bigger dogs. Does your vet treat alot of small dogs? They just sound a bit 'old school' to me. If I am concerned enough to take my dog to the vet, I expect my vet to treat aggressively and nip the problem in the bud. When my pups used to get diarrhea each Spring, they were immediately put on Metronidazole, which cleared it in a day or two. The probiotics seem to be preventing it from happening... been 2 years since any of mine had diarrhea for more than one day.
Also, white rice is better than bread... too much bread can block a small dog. |
