Kong makes a 'softening' shampoo that helps manage dry and knotted hair. The reason we use this, and not other shampoos that have been recommended is because I don't want to pay for shipping on SHAMPOO! This can be purchased at Petsmart or PETCO and is reasonably priced. However, you can also by a detangling spray for after the bath that will help soften-- consider it a 'leave in conditioner'. But, each Yorkie is different... you may have to try a couple of brands before you find one that works for your baby.
