I'm so sorry to here the news about Baxter. Hopefully its nothing serious to worry about and the worse thing that will need to happen is a toe amputation (which is not a big deal, honestly). Keep us updated.

After looking at your pictures I thought the one of you in the green shirt looked familiar. Didn't you used to be on here a long time ago before you got Baxter? Your SN was Mikey or something similar. I remember a picture of Baxter in an army green bag in your car. Is that you? If so its nice to see you back here, I just wish it were under better circumstances. Good luck with Baxter, I know how much you love him

Edit to add: Call that first vet and tell him what an A$$ he is for not being more concerned over the toe and that its a good thing you took Baxter to another vet right away, especially since you caught it before it spread.
