Aw well done you for taking on the unknown. He is in the unknown too just now and probably trying to make sense of where his world has gone. Try and give him time to adjust to you and his new home before having lots of new people fussing over him. If his owner was an old lady he probably lead a quiet life. Did you get the food hes used to cause that can sometimes be a bit of a problem for a dog if it changes too quickly. Enjoy him they are great companions.
