Thank you for your opinions and suggestions. Threads are sometimes deleted b/c of various reasons including: thread starter request, too many rude comments to just delete one by one, or b/c the threads have gotten so off topic they are a waste of space.
The difficulty with just locking threads (so they are still readable) is that some members will not let issues go and will begin various other threads about the same topic. We, as moderators, have jobs as well and though we try to do the best we can, we cannot always monitor 24/7. That is why we rely on members to report posts. |
