I would call the vet for advice. When Pfeiffer was spayed, she got the shot too but she didn't have good enough pain control and it just wasn't a pain level that was acceptable for me. I called the vet, and talked to her about what to do...she gave me advice about using the take-home pain meds right then, rather than next morning. It helped tremendously! Of course, you'd have to talk w/ your vet to see if this is even an option, and if it is, what a safe does would be. I hope your baby feels better soon, poor little guy.
