My father lives with me and is equally bonded with Max & Teddy as I am. The boys adore their grandpa. However, when I leave the house, the boys spend most of their time in their doggy beds under the kitchen table. Dad tries to play with them, but they don't seem to want to play much.
I think dogs, even energetic Yorkies, need their downtime. For Max and Teddy, that is when I leave the house.
I wouldn't be concerned unless Milo wants little to do with your husband and son even when you are home, or ever.
