Gimme the calls asking about getting a puppy anytime compared to "I got a girl Yorkie and I ama lookin' fer a boy to breed her to!" Now, I start..where did you get her? how old? how much weighs? health history of dog and ancestors? are her patellas luxating? (WHAA)? Has she been tested for PSS? (WHAA)?
I loved the last one I got. Female in first heat! 10 minths old! Weighs about 3 pounds! wanted to breed her to get some of his money back..paid so much for her at the pet shop!
I called them back-wife answered. I told her who I was and I said to her "Oh, my God! Why is your husband trying to kill such a young puppy?" She was elated..didn't want her bred! she had told him the dog was still just a baby and he could kill her. She was happy to have back-up. I asked to have him call me back and he did. By the time we hung up, he had the info for SNAP, spaying and the anesthesia, pre-op tests and cost of the procedure. Successful session if he followed up and I bet he did. His wife was gonna hold his feet to the fire.. |
