LMAO!!!! LITERALLY!! TOOOOO FUNNY.... And very true... Especially about the great dane #islandofdrmoreu. Would that even be possible.

Only time I got upset here and almost left the forum is when people were talking about racism / politics which are heated topics and have NOTHING to do with the care of Yorkies.
i dont think it would be expected that ond would say " its ok you bought a teacup" etc, etc. People often dont know things until they are educated, and there is a way to inform people which causes them to listen, and a way which causes people to retreat. seems like if we are passionate about something, we woudd desire to keep people around so that they would continue to learn and become informed.
every time we go out with our boys, atleast one person will come up and say, " how adorable," are they teacups?". This makes my stomach curl usually, but it is also wrong of me to assume that person is an idiot because they do not understand that there is no such thing. There are many issues in the world, and i suspect those very same people will be much more informed than me on many a topic. Yorkies are a topic most many here are experienced with, but the majority of the rest of the world is not. Animal rights, puppy mills, breeding standards and more, are issues many around here are knowledgeable and passionate about, yet the majority of our world is not. My own parents have raised dogs before many of us were born, yet they have no clue about any of this stuff. they have loved and cared for those dogs as if they were their children just like you and I.
most of the visitors come here seeking info in the most innocent form( not all) , and most people are very friendly and are able to overlook the lack of knowledge and proper nomenclature, in order to pass on knowledge and truth. but....like the op mentioned, there are those that seem to pounce on people for either asking a question out of ignorance, or using the wrong words. It happens time and time again, from the same individuals. Fortunatly, there seem to be many more people who understand that these folks come here for answers, seeking help and direction, and are not yet aware of ins and out of yorkie world. it is these folks who make this sight so invaluable, and keep the others from scaring or running people off.
