The tone in a lot of the messages here are often condensing. I do way more reading than I do posting here for that reason alone. A lot of the time I am here reading a thread, and say to myself "Wow that was harsh". To be honest, I just have accepted it as the way everything is here, So before I ask a questions I go back years and research posts. The information is great here the other mess is just drama. |
I wish, unless there is some type of personal attack on one, that we could accept the passion for the dogs that most posters here have and take the good advice about our little charges while focusing less on the tone of the words used and more on the help offered. Tone of written words can be a very subjective thing. More than anything, I see people bending over backward to withhold their true feelings and post help rather than trying to be mean. Sometimes it is so hard though when someone is posting page after page about their dog "acting okay" though it's been vomiting for three days and clearly the person is looking for a home remedy here rather than wanting to spend money at the vet. Sometimes one feels it is necessary to wake that dreamer up and get their attention when clearly nothing else is working. But the intent is not to hurt the feelings of the OP but speak in a direct fashion, since kinder, more gentler-worded posts are clearly not getting through.
