You are not going to get a good representative of the breed buying from these people. If you want a dog that looks like a Yorkie buy from a reputable breeder and not someone who is using the dogs to make some money. Some back yard breeders increase their operation when they find they can make some money with the dogs. Personally I think it is wrong to support such people. They are doing a disservice to the breed and ripping people off at the same time. Some people love their little dog anyway but others end up selling to someone else or sending it to the pound. Even worse is when those puppies are themselves used for breeding. Save your money and buy from someone who knows what they are doing. |
I LOVE your points on BYB it doesn't even have to be about their lack of knowledge but it does come right down to the they have pet quality dogs (having a full registration means nothing anymore I think AKC should only allow full registrations to be obtained after a pup is matured and multiple breeders will sign off on it's breeding quality or some way of making sure a dog is
actually breeding quality).
Very, very, very well said!
