Yes, I think he was a part of a private crime watch. But that still would and could be viewed as having "power"

In regards to power, I don't think unless he was working for a government-sanctioned entity, he had any true power over another person, save that of his weapon, as is in the case of any killer. And that would be true in my mind if both killer and victim were the same ethnicity or any combination or any gender, religion, sexual orientation and so on. From the stories I have read, he was a self-appointed watchman. But I agree that he would be a power figure if he were acting for police in some activities they sanctioned & set-up guidelines for as to who could join, what activities were set forth, that kind of thing.

After living in an area that is predominately hispanic and being referred to as "white" by a person of the same race.but different culture it is just one of my "pet peeves". I took the way you worded it as asking if he was one or the other Hispanic (culture) vs white (race).. at least in my book.

I also disagree that all examples of one race mistreating another race are white. Many other historical evidence of slaves and other events have been by other races. Yes... the Dutch slave traders did bring slave, and yes the WHITE man mistreated black in our history. I have also been the victim of reverse prejudice.. and have seen first hand the prejudice of hispanic on black and other non- Hispanic . That does not EXCUSE anything but just want to express another opinion- to show that life is not simple right or wrong sometimes.

Now, I agree that Zimmerman did not have power... but a man in uniform (did he have a badge or uniform??) may SEAM as if he had power.

I think you are one of the kindest people on yt.. my statements are just discussion and my opinion nothing against you at all. I just think sometime the written word looks more harsh.. sorry
