True..and the problem with this is,most of these "pic n mix" breeds end up in shelters,because whilst
all puppies are adorable,the adult version may not be so pretty.
A woman close to where I live mixed her long haired chihuahua with her yorkie,and the pups were
very cute..so much so,that she kept one.
Well,let me tell you that that puppy grew up and it was U G L Y (tufts of long hair here and there,shorter undercoat,long legs,long thin snout etc)..so by the time it was 15 months old,it was roaming the streets
When you buy a pure bred,you know (or have a VERY good idea) of what the adult version will look like,what the breeds traits are and what you´re bringing home..with a mix,you dont know what you´re getting.
Dont get me wrong,I have owned a mix breed (he was a Great dane/golden retreiver mix named Duke),he was BEAUTIFUL and had the best personality,
but there´s no way I´d have payed say,what a great dane or golden retreiver costs for him kwim?
