I felt she had a lump in her throat and swollen glands. Called the vet, couldn't get an appt till next day.
Overnight, she got worse, by morning I was going to the vet without an appt. After a long day, my husband and I made the decision to put her down. I can't believe this could happen so fast. My 3 cuties are now two lost souls, one of the girls is her baby. Has anyone ever seen grief in their dogs eyes? How can I help her.? Is the sparkle gone forever?
Holly and her mommy were best friends. They did everything together. I never realized what a leader my Abby was. She was not the Alpha, but she was the social director. She was always on the go, smelling and investigating everything. |
I am so sorry about Abby, Holly will be okay, with your giving her the extra love and attention she will come through the grieving process, it may take several weeks. I do believe your other yorkie will help her too.
Years ago when we had to take our Nicki and came home without her, our other Dobie Gretta knew and she Kept going around the vehicle and would not stop, she wouldn't 't eat, I know what your Holly is going through. Gretta seemed to cling to the both of us afterwards, it is so hard to make that last visit to the vet, and it takes a real loving heart to do what one must.
my prayers for you too.
Glad you found the YT Family site here.
