She developed kidney stones and we were sent to a specialist. We found out she had a liver shunt and undeveloped kidneys.
Her liver and kidneys were both smaller than normal and misshapen.
She just wasnt developed fully.
Thats why she never grew bigger than 2lbs 13oz.
I spoke with someone from YT and the specialist about what was best for Macie. Even if she made it through the kidney stones surgery, her life span would have been very short. He said her recovery chance was very poor.
I decided I didnt want to put her through anymore pain so I decided to let her fall asleep in my arms Monday afternoon at the specialist office.
