I know that Yorkies and some other breeds are predisposed to Pancreatitis that can be caused by too much protein and or fat in the diet. There is no need to feed a pet with average activity level food that is that high in protein. I know because my dog had a bad reaction to food that has high levels of these things. He became weak and depressed and sore all over- it was very sad to watch, and the vet bill was not easy to swallow either. Like you, I am still looking for the proper food to feed my baby and I think that it might be a raw food diet- not that that is going to be easy, but I want a healthy dog!! I know your dogs really love this food, but if you want what is best for them I would change to something more reasonable in protein levels.
