ZoE & I walked my property last week as the weather has turned nice and the grass is starting to grow, so I thought I'd walk out back and make sure it was dry enough to mow and to check that no debris had blown into the back yard that might wreck my mower blades.
I had ZoE on her 20 ft training leash. She was ahead of me and sniffing like crazy at something. I pulled her away from the area and as I walked closer, I saw that it was a small deer leg. Mostly just bone left...but the whole fricken leg! Coyotes.
Some nights ZoE wakes me up because she hears them howling, so I know they are around...but it's totally different knowing that they've actually been in your backyard
