I had a webcam setup. If you have an internet connection and leave your pc on, you can setup one up too. it's really easy. I used a program call webcamxp 5 lite.
Its free and allows you to view on camera. the paid version allows you view multiple cameras. There's also an app for your smartphone called jumi that will do the same thing. But webcam xp will let you view it from your iphone as well.
I used to have one setup but my camera broke and I never replaced it. I loved it.....I was able to watch both of my furbabies. They mostly just slept so it got kind of boring. Brandi would start walking about a few hours before I got home and you could see her walking from window to window looking for me.
The really creepy thing about webcams is watching while someone is breaking in. It never happened to me but it has to this one person. Really creepy. Oh and I never viewed it in the dark...too scare i would see ghost.
