This sounds mean, but if I really need a minute, I put Luma in her crate and cover it with a blanket. She loves it though. That's her cue to pass out. She'll just take a nap. The first time we tried it she barked and tried to pull the blanket off but now she will bark at you to MAKE you cover it, she likes the little "cave" feel to it.
