Default I am so sorry for your loss

My prayers are with you and your family.I understand your pain and loss. Our Mattie, an English Springer, (my youngest son's dog) was run over last year while on a hunting trip. It was so hard, especially for my son who saw it happen - we were just devastated. It still hurts my heart to think about it- it was an accident yet, I can't help but wish ( even now!!) that I had kept Mattie home that weekend instead of letting my son take her on a hunting trip... We went months without replacing her. I didn't know how long was "right" to wait for another. Our whole family was sad. Even Charlie, our Yorkie, moped around. Our house felt empty. If I had it to do over, I would not wait so long. I must tell you, getting a new puppy was what helped us heal the most.
We still miss Mattie, have her picture in our family room, and will forever love her memories. But getting Emma ( another Enlish Springer) brought joy back in our home and a best friend for my son. And Charlie, is thrilled to have a sister again.
I believe that having a dog just adds so much love and joy to a home. I know you are grieving, but when you feel up to it- look for another dog to love. I really believe that is the best cure for a broken heart. I will keep you in my prayers.
May God bless you
Xxoo
