Another puppy mill was shut down yesterday in Allegan County in Michigan. A woman went to a so called breeder's home and saw hundreds of little puppies all dirty and scraggly after she answered an ad. She did buy one puppy, cleaned the poor thing up and brought it to the vet and then promptly reported it to county officials who raided the home and found 350 puppies in a small kennel that were all in poor shape. The puppies were all taken to several vets in the area who cleaned them up and are then giving them to a no kill shelter for adoption. These little pups were just adorable yet pitiful and brought tears to my eyes.
The "breeder" will be charged with animal cruelty. I hope they throw the book at her.
