I was just coming to ask the same thing! I noticed that Kirkland and Frontline have different active ingredients
Kirkland: Etofenprox 30%, Methoprene 3.6%, and Piperonyl Butoxide Technical 5%
Frontline: Fipronil 9.8%, Methoprene 8.8%

I'm like the OP - I'm usually really happy with Kirkland quality (as good or better than the name brand) but the Chicken Jerky treats made me a little worried.
