Well Yorkies once past puppyhood are not supposed to look fluffy at all. But sleek, silkey with a beautiful sheen to the well cared for coat/dog.

If your dog has the coveted pure silk coat you won't get Fluffy anytime soon. Take a look at the Showing Forum here and you will see lots of pics of show Yorkies with the trademark silk - blue and tan coat.

Older Yorkies with a "fluffy" coat usually have either a cottony coat, or a mixed coat.
