To be honest, I think worrying about tail breakage is a little over-dramatic. Sure, it can happen. But then let's just dock all dogs tails... because ANY breed of dog CAN break a tail. And lots of dogs are not supposed to be docked have skinny tails, so let's just dock theirs too while we are at it. I dunno, I think docked tails are cute too, and obviously I'm a little biased

but I just simply don't see a point besides aesthetics (which is fine, but let's admit that it's because of that and not try to make up excuses for us doing it). People crop ears too - and there is NO good reason for it other than looks. That's fine - I, too, prefer the look of a cropped Doberman to be honest. But that's all it is... aesthetics... let's not try to make it into something bigger than it is and dig for reasonings. I don't necessarily agree with it being banned though, I think there are enough dog laws, and to take away someone's choice to do so is almost like allowing them to take away other things too. But JMO. I could be wrong. I don't know how it's gone over in Europe.
Btw, Jackson's is curled upwards most of the time... it's not just like sticking straight out.
