I do not give puppies/dogs credit for ANY common sense at all, especially any "instinct for self preservation"....they will eat poisonous plants, roach bait, ant bait, anti freeze, medication they find in your purse or dropped on the floor, grapes, raisins, onions, buttons, bells, etc........I also see too many dead in the road, and hear of pets drowning in Koi ponds and swimming pools........obviously, their instinct for self preservation was sorely lacking! I personally believe if you have anything around that will make them sick or kill them, it is just a matter of time! I learned a long time ago not to play Russian Roulett....I am not that lucky!
