Has she had a Bile Acid Test? (test for Liver function) Recurring UTIs and inability to settle are two symptoms of a Liver disorder. Not commonly seen in older dogs but it does happen.
If she looks bloated after a meal, you can try holding her upright, (sitting up on your lap). If she's having a gas problem, this position helps to expel the gas from the gut. Left to their own devices, this problem may result in vomiting the meal, bc the gas can't get around the food to come out. Being upright allows the gas to bypass the food and the dog will burp. |
No she hasn't had a bile acid test. I will ask the vet about it at our next appointment. Also she has never vomited during this spells. So far it's just the inability to settle down. I will definitely be asking my vet to do a Bile acid test on her. Thanks
