I think teeth brushing is very important and eating dry food doesn't really clean them. I started Callie as a puppy and she could care less when I brush her teeth now but I always give her a treat afterwards and talk to her while doing it. I am a big fan of grain free food but when I get the flu and my anemia under control I am really going to look into home cooking because I imagine there is a lot they put into dog food that they legally do not have to tell us about. We also use bully sticks and Callie loves them like crazy. I would be very very careful with rawhide because it can cause blockages and with any bone make sure you are there when they are chewing it. I could never ever do raw bones freaks me out and I could not imagine the germs that get in her beard and on the floor from that.
