I'm getting a 10-11 week old Yorkie this sunday and I'm really excited but also scared! It's my first dog and I'm scared of screwing up. I've been waiting to get a dog for a long time and I decided that it's a good moment to get one since my 3 Week long spring Vacation starts on Friday but I will be doing some things this weekend so I want to make sure that I have all my attention onto him.

I've learned that I need to get them to pee outside at least an hour for every month they have during the day and a bit about potty training generally speaking.
I'm just wondering, will I be able to go out with him during these three weeks? I've read that they shouldn't go to parks during that early age because they may catch some illnesses, is that true? When will he be able to go out safely? Does that apply to my dogless garden too?
Also, if I can go out with him, will it affect the potty training? I plan to go out sometimes to friend's houses that live close to me and hang out, I imagine some socialization at that age would work for him too.

Also, what should I buy before getting him home, should I start directly with the crate?
