Wow, thanks for the info. I had no idea there were portions of the dog park that are/were "off leash" areas. That kinda freaks me out a little. Now, I've never been to a dog park before - EVER, not even with my Chihuahua. We just go to a regular park and I keep her on a leash. My ex and I would take her and our Pommie off their leashes only when we had like the whole (fenced-in) baseball field to ourselves. They loved to run around and play tag with each other. Other than that, they were ALWAYS on a leash!
I don't know how I would feel about my little CoCo not being on a leash around other dogs. I think I'll start by taking her to the people park first - just to get her used to the idea of getting out and being on a leash and all. Then maybe we can gradually work our way up to the dog park. If I know CoCo's daddy, he will not like that idea. What is it about dads and their little girls?
