Recently, my husband and I have finally decided to get a puppy, and we decided on a yorkie. I will be getting her in a few weeks, and I want to get everything ready before she's here.
I'm unsure of what size harness to get her? (Or even if I should get a dog harness at all). She's 8 weeks old. Her mother is 4.5 lbs and father is 5 lbs. The vet said she would take after her mother in size.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!
Welcome to Yorkie Talk and congratulations on your new puppy! I wouldn't take your puppy walking until she has had all of her puppy shots, except maybe in a confined area in your yard where you are sure other animals don't visit.

I would wait to buy the harness until she is home with you. Pups grow very quickly between 8 - 12 weeks, and the first few months. If she is really tiny, you can use a ferret harness from a pet store.

As for adult size, at 8 weeks, all you can do is guess. Some pups stay smaller than expected, others grow larger.
